Albar House

The KNX home automation project of CasaAlbarhas been carried out in San Cristobal de la Laguna, in Tenerife Canary Islands, has a lighting control, which has included switching on and off lights in the different multidisciplinary spaces of the building.

Casa Algar is located in the historic center of San Cristobal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage City since 1999.

The last renovation carried out in 2010 has turned Casa Albar into a multidisciplinary space where gastronomy, art and commercial premises coexist. Taking advantage of the renovation and respecting the age of the house, a home automation system has been installed to control the lighting in all the spaces, creating different atmospheres depending on the use of the house. Indótica using the only worldwide standard in home and building automation. All this has been carried out by means of KNX multipushbuttons that allow the recording of scenes in themselves, thus making it easier to control the multitude of lights on each floor of the building regardless of their use.

The exterior light is also used to regulate the intensity of the illumination and thus only use what is desired, saving energy, this system is particularly used in the museum.

The dali lighting system behaves in automatic mode depending on the outside light. In addition, all dali lighting is controlled by scenes that can be modified through the mobile application and are stored in the building’s multi-push buttons so that they can be called from these buttons later on.

The lighting can be controlled from a cell phone, since it has a KNX web server installed, allowing the user to control all functions from anywhere on the planet.
