Alcuadrado Architecture Studio.

The architectural firm Alcuadrado is located on the island of Tenerife, specifically in the town of San Cristobal de La Laguna, in the historic center, in the Plaza de la Concepcion.

The home automation installation has been carried out in 2009 with the KNX standard, this installation was executed with a lighting control system in which a KNX installation coexists with a KNX system. Dali installationthe installation Dali was basically focused on the areas where it was desired to be able to control the intensity of the light, while for the KNX installation the following were used actuators of conventional outlets.

The installation can be controlled from a web server accessible from the cell phone as well as from any type of computer through a web browser, for the control of the same was installed a babtec web server, more specifically the eibport of that brand.

The lighting levels in the different rooms are controlled by means of brightness sensors which, in conjunction with the presence detection system distributed throughout the studio, prevent lights from being left on by accident, thus considerably reducing electrical energy consumption.

The entire studio can also be controlled from a multi-pushbuttons in which in a simple and intuitive way the different scenes are recorded to be able to reproduce them later according to the needs of the users.

The architecture that developed the project was Alcuadrado’s own studio, which was helped by the latest technologies, both KNX and Dali to minimize the impact of wiring, as it is a building with a high degree of historical protection, the use of BUS type wiring was the most appropriate choice due to its great simplicity and versatility.
