Automatic lighting control for the Palacio Insular del Excmo. Cabildo de Tenerife. Inmotica Canarias.
KNX Inmotic Installation in the Canary Islands.
Control installations for the lighting of the common areas of the Palacio Insular del Cabildo de Tenerife, The installation has been carried out under the KNX standard for building control. The lighting is switched on according to the schedules and occupancy of the building. For this purpose, presence detectors have been installed in all common areas. Similarly, the lighting is integrated into the NetX BMS (Building Management Software), so you can change schedules, perform general shutdowns, plant shutdowns, inhibit presence detection and a host of other things. All this allows considerable energy savings and places the installations closer to meeting the ZEB (Zero Emissions Building) objectives, which are the main goal of this type of installation. This project is part of the ambitious project to create energy sustainable buildings. With this type of action, the council has proposed to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere as much as possible and to reduce energy costs. In addition to these factors, this type of installation provides the added value of simplicity for the maintenance teams to detect possible problems in the installations. In a second phase of this project, the fluorescent lighting is being changed to LED lighting, thus reducing energy consumption by 60%, which allows this type of action to be amortized economically in a short period of time. At the same time, the buildings belonging to the chapter have been connected to the control network created for this purpose so that the buildings can be controlled in a centralized manner. All this is done through the Netx Automation BMS.
